Liked: The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and very sharply dressed. Check in took all of 2 minutes. I sat in the restaurant in the morning and had a latte and smoked salmon croquette with hollandaise sauce while Oscar, my server, enthusiastically gave me suggestions for how to spend my day. Everything fun was within walking distance of the hotel including the gay district, restaurants, karaoke bars, Chinatown, thrift stores, and artisan shops. And the hotel kindly offered to hold my bags for me as I wandered around the next day! The room was clean, beautifully decorated, and the green tiled bathrooms add such an elegant vibe. Highly recommend staying here and I'll definitely be back.

Liked: Bed was very comfortable. Location was great. Staff very friendly.
Disliked: Bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly, with lots of black hair behind the door (not mine), two of the blackout blinds were broken (letting daylight in), bedside lamp had a broken bulb in it (exposed filament). Would have been nice to have a fridge for the price of a luxury room. I tried to complain but the management were unavailable (I was told they will be in touch).

Liked: The hotel is in an excellent position and only 5 mins from the train station. The rooms a lovely and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were great and very helpful

EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED

Disliked: To whom it may concern,I would like to bring to Booking.com’s attention about the property we booked for our stay in Manchester. While Abode hotel was at an ideal location, the hotel was extremely disappointing. After checking into the hotel, we were greeted by drying vomit on the elevator floor, which we chose to ignore but it only got worse. As we went on our floor to the hotel room assigned to us, the floor was extremely dirty and smelled off harsh bathroom chemicals in the hallway. As we made our way into the hotel room, to our surprised the room was poorly maintained and very misleading to the hero images on your app. To add in, my wife wanted to use the toilet and to her opening the toilet lid there was dried pee drops on the toilet seat which was so extremely vile and vicious to be presented on arrival. We were able to move rooms but the same vile chemical smell lingered in the hallway and the new room was worse than the old one. With a stink in the room and an extremely dirty and stained carpet and floors + overall maintenance of the room with stains everywhere, we were quite upset. As it was too late, we tried to ignore the situation and had to live in with the smell in the room and the awful stink coming out from the bedsheets and pillows. On top of that the bed was broken and me and wife kept going into gap as the bed was not able to carry our weight. As the establishment was right in the heart of Manchester Piccadilly, we were gravely disappointed with our experience and would like to flag that this establishment should be spoken to about the underlying issues as we paid quite a hefty amount for a room that did not meet the standards. To add in, the elevators always has an awful smell of marijuana lingering which was quite shocking given that it boasts as an upscale property. Overall extremely disappointed and awfully sad to have an experience as such.
