Liked: Good food, nice breakfast, friendly atmosphere.
Disliked: I did not like the smell of cooking oil/fat coming into the bedroom. Our window was open prior to our arrival.

Disliked: Very tired accommodation, needs complete refurb, really disappointed with the family room. For £195 for one night, I expect a better standard

Disliked: Room was really cold at night, we obviously had the gas fire but it didn’t heat the room very well. I assume the radiators were turned off from a central point as we couldn’t get them to go on

Liked: Loved the style, simple but cool room, nice familiar atmosphere. Can recommend the restaurant too!

It met our expectations.

Liked: All the staff were very friendly and helpful. I found Scottish people to be very friendly. They engaged with the children as well. I know that the intent was to keep the original charm of the property as best they could. There were some quirky things about the room. No big deal.
