In the pretty Cumbrian market town of Penrith Abbey House B & B provides attractive accommodations within half a mile of the train station town center and Penrith Castle. Rooms with attached bathroom have free Wi-Fi and free parking. Each room has a TV hairdryer alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities with hot chocolate and biscuits. Private bathroom facilities have a shower or bath. All rooms are showers only. You can enjoy a full Cumberland breakfast from 08:00 - 09:00 with bacon eggs sausage tomato mushrooms and baked beans and a vegetarian version is also available. There is tea coffee and juice along with cereals yogurt and fresh fruit. An earlier breakfast is available by arrangement. Breakfast is 7.30 until 9am. Five miles from Ullswater Penrith lies just outside the Lake District with Keswick just a 25-minute drive away. You can reach both Lake Windermere and Coniston Water in around 1 hour and Kendal in less than 40 minutes. Parking is limited to 2 spaces in the car park after that it is parking on the road with a parking disc provided

Liked: Excellent host, very friendly and helpful. Very clean room, bed was amazing, lovely sleep.Breakfast out of this world got loads.Overall, outstanding B&B, would go again.

Liked: We had a lovely 2 night stay celebrating my 40th. On arrival I had a balloon, prosecco, treats and homemade cupcakes which was a very generous gesture. Vickie was helpful and informative regarding the area and places to eat. Breakfast was delicious

Was a one night stop...

Liked: Very clean and compact. A lot packed into a small space Good breakfast Vicky friendly and helpful. Disc supplied for car which we managed to park on main road close to entrance
Disliked: .Smallest room we have ever stayed in so definitely just a one night only place to stay Not sure where we would have parked if there had been no space available

Liked: Friendly staff, quiet despite being on the main road, parking was easy with the visitors pass, lovely breakfast and close to the centre of Penrith!
