Expensive run down hotel. Do...

Liked: The location was nice.
Disliked: This hotel is VERY expensive for what it is. It's run-down and the walls are paper-thin. The bathroom was probably not renovated since the 40s with the avocado toilet/basin. The "shower" is a ratty old rubber tube that hooks up to the bathtub tap to act as a shower - only manages to trickle out. Rubbish. The floor is like a pub carpet. The bathroom tiles were painted over (badly). The paint is peeling in the bedroom and bathroom and grubby. The walls are very thin, so it was very difficult to sleep with so much noise. I paid £135 a night and that didn't even include breakfast. And forget about bringing any food into the room. There are notices everywhere that this is forbidden. At least there are plenty of plastic flowers to brighten up the room.

Comfortable and does the job.

Liked: It looked nice. Lovely outdoor space. The staff were very friendly. Cheap and cheerful and did the job. Would probably stay again if needed to stay nearby.
Disliked: It’s a bit dated, but it was clean and comfortable. The shower in our room was pretty rubbish though it was just trickle

Disliked: There was confusion by that was due to booking.com. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel.
