Overall, a good value for...

Liked: The location was fabulous. There was a Trader Joe's across the street for snacks, etc. Also, Georgetown was a very easy 2 block walk away with plenty of great restaurants and shops. The metro was an easy walk and there was a bus line that did stop very close to the hotel. Our room was a decent size.The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.Very nice to have a living room and separate bedroom for a family. The price point is very affordable.
Disliked: The hotel facilities are a bit outdated. The kitchen was ok but the dishwasher didn't close well and the toaster was old and did not work. We requested a new toaster and the replacement was also older and we had to hold down the handle to get it to work. Lastly, the room air conditioner and heat does not work independently and is based on the entire hotel. The temperature outside was warm and we could not get comfortable cooling temperatures in our room.Lastly, there was not a functioning ice maker in the hotel but we did make cubes of ice in our kitchen.

Worn down and dirty apartment...

Liked: Location was good. Staff was very friendly. Laundry facilities were easy to use.
Disliked: The whole apartment was dated and worn down. The kitchen was not in good condition (broken drawers, not enough silverware/dishes). Not even the basics (like salt and pepper) were provided. Floors were dirty. Kitchen was dirty. Bathroom was dirty. AC did not work (staff said it would be enabled at a later date), so we had 80 degrees in the apartment. Stains on the floor and sheets.

I will never stay here...

Liked: I liked the location because it was close the everything. Staff was nice and friendly.
Disliked: No one told us that there wasn’t going to be any AC. The day we got there was 80° and our room was 83°. It was very hot and miserable. The bed was very uncomfortable. There were stains on the comforter on the bed, and there was gum stuck to the headboard that no one had cleaned and also an empty water bottle behind the door. The manager was nice and sent the housekeeper to our room to clean that up, but that should have never happened. There was also a dirty hair tie on the floor that no one had picked up when they cleaned. There was a fan in the room and they did give us an extra one which we were thankful for but had we known from the beginning that this property hadn’t turned their AC on yet, we would have never booked here. We had to leave the windows open so we could have some air coming in and of course being downtown it was so loud outside with the traffic, sirens and horns blowing you could hardly sleep.

Liked: Excellent location, walking distance to everything (including metro), across the street from Trader Joe's. Staff was really friendly. For DC, the price point (even parking price which was significantly less than other hotels) is pretty decent. But you also pay for what you get.
Disliked: AC/Heat system is faulty (but we knew this going into it due to reading other reviews) -- the problem is that they only have a two-pipe system so once it hit a certain temp, it can't cool anymore. We had to open the windows, but there were a few days that were hotter than others so it didn't necessarily cool our room as much as we'd like. If it were just adults I think we would've managed fine, but we had our toddler and was constantly worried about the sleeping temp overnight. The facility is pretty old and doesn't feel all too clean, and the kitchen drawers were nearly falling apart. People have mentioned a con being there's no housekeeping services (but they do note that and you do get HK if staying longer than 7 days) but that didn't bother us.
