Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Disappointing

Liked: Awesome location, walkable.
Disliked: Really liked the location and art museum concept. Our room was clean but giving this low score due to the numerous issues during our two night stay. 1. Check in and was fast and easy (or so I thought) I had booked a king room but received a double queen. Called reception and they quickly changed me to a king - awesome, no big deal. 2a. The next morning after returning to our room my key didn’t work. Went down to reception and they couldn’t find my reservation. Turns out, I was booked under someone else’s reservation for a guest with the SAME last name who only booked for one night. When I checked in they “checked” my id and verified my name and email, so to me this is completely unacceptable that they gave me someone else’s reservation/room. 2b. To fix my reservation they had to recharge me and fix the total amount and undo the “no show” fee I was charged for “not showing up”. This resulted in a $10 overcharge, they did give me drink vouchers for the inconvenience but we didn’t use them. 3. When we checked out, guess who’s car was also under the other persons name which resulted in a delay while they found our keys and verified the car was ours because our valet ticket was under the wrong name. Everyone was very nice and apologetic but this was very stressful for me because my friends were waiting for me for brunch while I was trying to sort out the ordeal and completely outside of my control to fix.

Very nice hotel. Unfortunately there...

Liked: I loved that it is a hotel with an art gallery. So cool to look at. I loved that the room had upscale furnishings. It has a resturant and serves an awesome breakfast.
Disliked: We work up to no running water. Yes, our breakfast was on the house. But it was very disappointing because we only stayed there 1 night

Liked: Vic was absolutely brilliant! She made the stay amazing! We enjoyed our tour of the gallery and her impeccable insight and conversation. She is a .true asset to your organization. We will definitely be back in 2025
Disliked: The bar staff should be better trained to milti-task and handle customer issues with better tact and humility.

Quick stay overnight on a...

Liked: Great, central location - lots of nearby food options and parking
Disliked: Very old, run down hotel. I’ve stayed at other 21c properties and this one needs a makeover. Carpet is dated and looked dirty, bathrooms were decent. $35 valet when you can park for free or half price across the street. Not sure I’d stay again given the age of the hotel and newer options nearby.
