Without any human contact we...

Liked: Pleasant,well equipped cottage
Disliked: Quite far from centre of the Barossa. Back garden needs water and TLC. Never set eyes on staff/owners. All communication was by text message and email, this made for confusion on arrival as we did not know which cottage we were in - we had been travelling by car and phone/internet connection was poor.

Exceptional

Liked: Loved the character and charm of the cottage in a very peaceful setting. It was a perfect base for walking some of the Lavender Federation Trail.

We had a great time...

Liked: Beautiful cottage with modern amenities. Ideally located to Mt Pleasant and Birdwood. Small kitchenette with coffee maker and kettle. Loaf of fresh bread was provided - very nice! Lovely views from small patio adjacent to cottage. Clean and well maintained.
Disliked: Towels were rough

Very good

Liked: The beds in Sunset cottage were very comfortable, we both slept well. The kitchen was small but it had a good selection of utensils, cooking equipment, teapot and coffee pod machine. The home-made bread on arrival was lovely. The cottage was warm and cosy with a split system in the lounge and heaters in the bedrooms, and throw rugs for extra warmth in the lounge. I enjoyed the big deep bath for a relaxing soak! Loved the historic stonework of the cottage. The location was excellent, quiet and peaceful, and a scenic 15-20 minute drive to the fabulous Barossa and Eden Valley wineries.
Disliked: Lights in lounge were very bright, I brought in a lamp from a bedroom to give a softer light there.

Charming and peaceful

Liked: Beautiful cottage and location, very peaceful. Furnishings we're clean and comfortable, fireplace being lit to warm the room on arrival was a nice touch. Exactly what we we're looking for. The pre sent directions and suggestions of local places to eat at and visit was very helpful.
Disliked: Nothing not to like.

Strongly recommend. We will definitely...

Liked: Simple but with everything required for a perfect hide from the city life. My wife and I loved.
Disliked: Everything was amazing. If I had to say something, I would be better if the lodge was a firepit at the back. the weather was perfect to enjoy it with a good bottle of wine.
