It was good short stay.

Liked: Location of the lodge is good, room size was decent and bed was bigger than what we expected :)

Needs redesign for more modern...

Liked: The kitchenette was great, and the mini-fridge was in good working order, and large enough. I liked having just one bed with enough room to walk around it.
Disliked: The hot water heater temperature needs to be turned down to prevent scalding. The side table lights were a waste of space, and not needed anyway. There wasn't enought vanity space for my toiletries in the bathroom, and poorly placed hooks instead of needed towel rails. The bed needed a fitted bottom sheet, instead of a too small top sheet.

I will stay there again...

Liked: Very clean room and exceptional staff. The owner was very helpful for helping me orient in New Plymouth and even took a bicykle from a shed that I used for two days.

Disliked: I asked for decaffeinated coffee or herbal tea. Could not provide.
