Liked: We had mixed expectations going in, but were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Keep in mind, this is a motel, not a hotel, and you're paying for the best value accommodation on Hastings Street. If you're looking for a more upscale experience to match the area’s image, you might want to opt for a hotel. However, for those on a budget, this place offers great value.One thing to note—if you're of a solid build, you may find the rooms a bit tight, as they were designed with 1960s standards in mind. Still, overall, it exceeded our expectations for the price and location.

Relaxing

Liked: Location - it was fantastic to be so close to the beach without having to worry about finding parking when going out for a meal.The rooms were clean.
Disliked: The room that we stayed in (Room 8) was not well represented by the images online. I understand that I chose to stay in the cheapest available room, however, I was disappointed that the deck was not a pleasant place to sit and enjoy.
